Basu Aesthetics + Plastic Surgery has a long-standing history of striving for best-in-class outcomes.   In that same 2-decade tradition, we are proud to have Dr. DeBusk join the Basu Aesthetics team to offer an exceptional experience for patients seeking cosmetic rhinoplasty, revisional rhinoplasty, and any aesthetic facial procedure.

Board-certified by the American Board of Otolaryngology, Dr. DeBusk is highly sought after for rhinoplasty in Houston, Texas. He regularly welcomes out-of-town patients who choose him for his meticulous skill in providing natural, outstanding aesthetic results that preserve and improve functionality.

I had a septoplasty and rhinoplasty surgery at the same time with Dr. Debusk. He is the most caring doctor I have ever seen. My surgery went smoothly and beautifully with no stress and pain. He is a great doctor at the same time he is a very nice human. I definitely had the best experience and will recommend it to anyone who wants to do this but has a fear of surgery or any other reasons…

Education and Training

Dr. DeBusk has always been a scholar-athlete.  He attended Louisiana State University, where he was starting safety on the LSU Tigers football team.  He helped LSU win the SEC championship in 2011! He earned several honors, including the Charles E. Coats Academic Student-Athlete of the Year award, the Alvin Roy Award for outstanding off-season performance, as well as achieving Southeastern Conference Academic Honor Roll every season of his college career. He graduated from LSU with an honors degree in Biological Sciences. Dr. Debusk continued his academic achievements by earning his Medical Degree from Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center – New Orleans.

Dr. Debusk is a fine doctor. He is compassionate and caring. He took time to listen to me and he offered lots of advice and solutions. He stood out to me because of how much time he spent and how attentive he was. He truly makes you feel seen and heard and that is a rare quality in a doctor. He was thorough and extremely helpful in pointing me in the right direction for treatment.

Actual Patient, Healthgrades

Dr. DeBusk moved on to complete an Ear-Nose-Throat Surgery five-year residency with the Department of Otolaryngology-Head & Neck Surgery at the University of Minnesota, a high-volume center for facial plastic surgery, cleft lip and palate surgery, and head and neck reconstruction. Dr. DeBusk excelled in this rigorous and extensive program, performing over 300 cosmetic and functional rhinoplasty surgeries, and was appointed Chief Resident by the residency program Director. He also received two clinical research awards to fund residency research projects: the Lions Hearing Foundation Resident Research Grant and the AAO-HNS CORE Grant Resident Research Award.

I’ve always had an insecurity over the bump on my nose that made me never want people to look at the side of my face. Dr. DeBusk proved his abilities early on by showing nothing but confidence during my virtual consultation. By my pre-op, it was clear he had a plan in place and knew just what I needed. I’m still just a few days out and in recovery, but by the photo he sent of my nose directly out of surgery before swelling started, I can already tell this is going to TRANSFORM my confidence!

Dr. DeBusk continued his pursuit to become the most thoroughly trained surgeon through the prestigious University of California-San Francisco, one of the few fellowship programs in the country to offer the full breadth and depth of facial plastic and reconstructive surgery.  Here, he focused on all aspects of the field, performing hundreds of rhinoplasty, face and neck lifts, eyelid surgery, cancer reconstruction of the face, facial reanimation, facial feminization, and facial masculinization. Dr. DeBusk also completed a fellowship with the AO North American Craniomaxillofacial Surgery Foundation, further honing his expertise in managing facial trauma and reconstruction.

As a clinical assistant professor at the University of Texas Medical Branch’s Division of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, Dr. DeBusk shares his passion and techniques for restoring function and artfully creating balanced, aesthetically pleasing facial plastic surgery results.

Outside of the OR

When he’s not meeting with patients, scrubbing up for surgery, or training the next generation of surgical specialists, Dr. DeBusk stays busy with his two young sons and loving wife. Originally from Denton, TX, Dr. DeBusk feels right at home in Houston after years of studying, teaching, and performing surgery all over the U.S.
