How Microneedling Works
At Basu Aesthetics + Plastic Surgery, we use the Dermapen device for microneedling, which stimulates your skin’s natural healing process. Tiny, sterile needles create controlled micro-injuries in the skin—just enough to signal your body to ramp up collagen and elastin production. These channels are virtually invisible to the naked eye but spark big changes over time.
There’s no major downtime, just a little redness afterward—like a mild sunburn. Over the following weeks, your skin rebuilds from within, making it smoother, firmer, and even-toned. We typically recommend a series of 3–6 sessions spaced a few weeks apart for optimal results.
