What to Expect During Treatment

1. Consultation

Your visit starts with a personalized consultation, during which we evaluate your facial anatomy, aesthetic goals, and medical history. We’ll then determine if Kybella is appropriate and create a custom plan, including how many sessions may be needed.

2. Treatment

Kybella is administered via a series of small injections under the chin. Most patients receive between 20 and 50 injections in a single session. A topical anesthetic or ice may be applied for comfort. Treatment typically takes 20 to 30 minutes.

3. Recovery

Downtime is minimal, though you may experience swelling, tenderness, bruising, or numbness in the treatment area for several days. These effects are temporary and a sign that the treatment is actively working.

When Will I See the Results?

Visible improvement usually begins within 4 to 6 weeks of your first session, with full results developing after a series of 2 to 6 treatments spaced about a month apart. Once the fat cells are eliminated, they will not return—so long as your weight remains stable, results are considered permanent.
