Breast Implant Warranty Information

Congratulations on your decision to undergo breast augmentation surgery with Dr. Basu. While you look forward to your new appearance, you may have questions about your breast implants. Dr. Basu uses Natrelle™ breast implants, which come with the choice from a few different warranty plans.

Natrelle breast implants are manufactured by Allergan. All Natrelle breast implants come with an automatic Confidence Plus® 10-year warranty. If you want even more coverage for your Natrelle implants, you can elect to purchase the 10-year Confidence Plus Premiere® warranty.

If you are not certain which warranty you prefer at the time of your surgery, you still have time to make your choice. You can elect to upgrade to the Confidence Plus Premiere warranty after your surgery. You are eligible for upgrade within the first 45 days following your breast augmentation surgery. Most patients pay a one-time $100 charge for the upgrade.

Confidence Plus Warranty

Your complimentary Confidence Plus warranty:

• covers silicone and saline breast implants.
• offers up to $1200 reimbursement for out-of-pocket expenses not covered by your insurance, such as operating room costs and anesthesia costs.
• offers 10 years of financial assistance.
• enrollment is automatic.
• includes lifetime product replacement.
• terms of the warranty cannot be cancelled.

Confidence Plus Premiere Warranty

If you receive certain types of Natrelle implants, you are automatically enrolled in the Confidence Plus Premiere warranty at no additional charge.

Your enhanced Confidence Plus Premiere warranty:

• covers silicone and saline breast implants.
• offers up to $2400 reimbursement for out-of-pocket expenses not covered by your insurance, such as operating room costs and anesthesia costs.
• offers 10 years of financial assistance.
• includes automatic renewal of Confidence Plus warranty.
• offers contralateral implant replacement—this means that if one breast implant ruptures, both implants can be replaced.
• includes lifetime product replacement.
• terms of the warranty cannot be cancelled.

Lifetime Replacement Warranty

Certain types of Natrelle implants are covered by lifetime replacement warranty. All recipients of these types of implants are covered by the replacement warranty.

• Your implant will be replaced if it ruptures due to a defect in the implant shell (casing).
• Your surgeon can request a replacement Natrelle implant of any size or style.
• Your ruptured implant can be replaced with any Natrelle implant of equal value.
